HAPPY NEW YEAR
Definitely today is the day to blog, in spite of facebook messages piling up ;)
In general, 2008 has been good for me.
I feel good about 2009, for no reason at all.
The economic crisis has also been good for all of us. Lower emmissions, less consumption, and we can wear last season's, no problem.
My only real goal for the new year is to see Castro's Cuba (before he dies).
I will grow my hair again, and not miss a day without my day, night, & under eye cream.
I will make gluten free pizza.
And be a better friend.
Love,
Sheba

You are already one of the dearest and best of friends to many no matter what, when, or why :*
It really was time to reexamine financial priorities and overly consumptive and profligate ways. However, having said that, I sheepishly confess to having developed a strong fondness for semi-precious stone jewelry made by New Mexico and Arizona designers :/ I must be stopped before I become any more hazardous to my financial health.
Travel-wise, I have plans to hopefully explore Sri Lanka and India in 2009. And go to my first Orthodox Jewish wedding in NYC (a dear very old friend is marrying a Japanese Buddhist can you believe it).
As for night creams and long hair, well, I dry up like an old prune without mine plastered to my face, and am lost - simply lost without my very long hair. I shall never have it short again, never!
May the best of what life has to offer be yours this year my dear Sheba :)

Sheba mentay imgasra wela shay I know how crazy busy you have been :** don't worry, we will have a yem3a soon and I'll get you hooked on my jewelry fetish too.
And about my orthodox old friend (he's the one in the B&W pics in my "18" Facebook album) and the Japanese bride - no kidding! She's converting but it's a long hard process apparently with lots of steps to be made and things she has to learn (including Hebrew). Talk about rigorous. I just can't wait to go to the wedding, it's going to be something, a real experience...
